Researchers have discovered that it may benefit you in
other ways, especially your liver.

Researchers have found that coffee
drinkers are less likely to develop the
following diseases:
• Liver cancer
• Endometrial cancer, called
endometrium
• Fibrosis, a disease
that causes scar
tissue to form inside the liver.
It is a response to diseases such as hepatitis or
alcohol use disorder.
• Liver cirrhosis, advanced fibrosis.
As this disease worsens, it will be harder
for your liver to function.
• Non-alcohol-related fatty
liver disease occurs when liver cells store too much fat.
This will also prevent your liver from working properly.
How Does Coffee Help
In addition to caffeine, coffee
also contains more than 1,000 chemical substances. Doctors
are still trying to figure out what the body uses from them to make
coffee useful.
When your
body digests caffeine, it produces a chemical called paraxanthine, which slows
the growth of scar tissue involved in fibrosis. This can help
fight liver cancer, alcohol-related cirrhosis, non-alcohol-related fatty liver
and, hepatitis C.
The two chemicals
in coffee, kahweol and cafestol, can help
fight cancer. Doctors are not sure
how strong this effect is, but
some people think that the right amount of
unsweetened coffee may be used with the main treatment for hepatocellular
carcinoma, the most common type of liver cancer.
The acid
in coffee can fight the virus that
causes hepatitis B. A study found
that decaffeinated coffee may have the
same benefits.
Studies have found that
coffee is helpful for both men and
women. No matter how the coffee is made, the benefits
are obvious: filtered coffee, instant coffee, or espresso.
Coffee As A Medicine
Doctors believe that coffee can be
an important weapon against liver disease. After all, it is easy
to obtain and does not have to cost a lot
of money.
But at this point,
doctors are not sufficiently aware to recommend
specific quantities. Coffee may not be for
everyone. Although it may help your liver, it
may increase your chances
of developing other diseases.
For example, certain chemicals
in it can raise cholesterol or blood
pressure. This can be a warning sign:
• People with high blood
pressure
• Children and adolescents
• The elderly
No matter how good
coffee is for you, the key to caring for your liver is
still your lifestyle. Eat healthy
food, do not drink alcohol, pay attention to your weight,
get hepatitis A and B vaccines, avoid sharing needles, and
exercise regularly.
