How Coconut Relieves Acid Reflux? | Virgin Coconut Oil 


Coconuts are grown in large numbers in tropical countries such as the Philippines. People in these areas find that the trunk, leaves, and fruit of coconuts have many uses. 

No part of the coconut tree is wasted because it has a specific purpose. Recent developments have aroused Americans' concern about the medical value of coconut fruit. 

Previous clinical studies have shown that coconut ingredients have significant antihistamines, anti-infection/preservatives, and strengthening of the immune system, and glucocorticoid antagonists. Recently, it has also been discovered that coconut can effectively relieve the symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux. 
However, remember that coconut protein can cause some food allergies.

How Coconut Relieves Acid Reflux

There are two ways to use coconut to relieve acid reflux,

First, coconut oil can be used as a liniment and applied to the stomach of acid reflux patients. Second, it can be taken orally in the form of virgin coconut oil.
When using coconut oil as a liniment, the solution must be prepared by extracting the oil from the coconut fruit. The local practice of extracting oil from coconut fruit involves grinding mature coconut pulp and then squeezing milk from the ground pulp. 


The milk extracted from the coconut pulp is not filtered to ensure that it is not solid. Then slowly boil the coconut milk over low heat until the milk evaporates, leaving the oil behind. The extracted coconut oil will not be used as a liniment to relieve acid reflux.

Virgin Coconut Oil 

The second way to use coconut to relieve acid reflux is to consume it in the form of virgin coconut oil. Put the coconut milk in a even container for 48 hours until the cream, water and oil are naturally separated, and then virgin coconut oil can be extracted from the coconut fruit. The oil extracted through this process is a powerful antioxidant. 


Studies have shown that coconut oil, especially the purest coconut oil, is rich in short-chain and medium-chain fatty acids. This shorter chain length allows for faster metabolism and does not use the carnitine transport system associated with the oxidation process. This means that a large amount of coconut oil in the body would mean that it has a high antioxidant capacity.
